Mars Veterinary Health doubles down on scientific focus with the formation of Medical Affairs Science Team

As the world’s largest provider of veterinary care, we feel a responsibility to harness our knowledge, reach, and data-driven insights to lead industry-changing science and research because we recognize scientific advancements and evolution of clinical practices in veterinary medicine are required to equip veterinary professionals with the information and tools they need to enable high-quality pet healthcare—and ultimately, to achieve our Purpose: A Better World for Pets.

Marking the next step in our efforts to advance veterinary science, Mars Veterinary Health established the Medical Affairs Science Team. Focused on outcomes-based healthcare and clinical studies, the team will leverage strategic partnerships and the breadth and depth of our data-driven insights to enhance the lives of pets by helping veterinary professionals better diagnose, treat, and predict pet-related conditions.

The Medical Affairs Science Team brings together a mix of veterinary scientists with decades of collective experience in veterinary research and clinical care to focus on owner-centered healthcare delivery with patient outcomes as a primary measure of success. The team’s focus on design, execution, and management of high-quality, efficient clinical studies is intended to enable Mars Veterinary Health to advance clinical science and research for the profession at large, ultimately helping veterinary professionals better diagnose, treat, and predict pet-related conditions.

Through partnerships with industry and academic institutions, and by harnessing data-driven insights and knowledge from across Mars Veterinary Health’s 70,000 Associates and 3,000 veterinary clinics worldwide, the team aims to improve patient outcomes and generate pet healthcare insights that have the potential to enhance the lives of pets and revolutionize care profession-wide.
