VANCOUVER, Wash., March 24, 2023 – Mars Veterinary Health, a division of Mars Petcare, named Molly McAllister, DVM, MPH as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this role, Molly will shape quality veterinary care across Mars Veterinary Health’s network of nearly 3,000 veterinary clinics and hospitals around the world.
Molly joins Mars Veterinary Health after 10 years with its practice Banfield Pet Hospital. Serving as Banfield’s CMO since 2019, Molly led the practice’s Veterinary Affairs function, ensuring the right culture, strategy, talent and tools are in place to consistently deliver excellence in high-quality veterinary medicine. Molly will continue in her role at Banfield until her successor is fully onboarded.

Molly also serves on the board of the Diversify Veterinary Medicine Coalition (DVMC), which she helped establish in 2020 to advance the representation of Black, Indigenous and people of color in the veterinary profession through scholarships, internships and educational grants.
Dr. McAllister graduated from Oregon State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Minnesota. She brings industry experience to the CMO role from her years working as a scientific services veterinarian at Royal Canin.
